SWIMMING WITH CONFIDENCE
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I'm not a strong swimmer myself?
You don't need to be an expert to use our tools. We provide the Parent Manual and video lessons so you can lead with confidence.
Does this work for kids who are afraid of the water?
Absolutely. We emphasize parent bonding and baby steps to help hesitant children learn to love the water at their own pace.
Is this just about survival swimming?
No. We focus on Discover Mode—building lifelong swimming skills through play-based learning.
How much time will this take?
There are 24 lessons total, and each lesson takes about 15 minutes to complete. The video tutorials are 1–5 minutes long.
You don't have to do formal lessons every time you go to the pool. Teaching small skills and allowing for play is the best way to succeed.
How long until my child learns to swim?
Each level takes Emily about two weeks to complete with her own students. Ideally, completing one level within four weeks is recommended, but you can go at your own pace. The more your child swims, the faster they'll learn.
What age should my child start? Can we begin earlier?
Age 3 is recommended for Swim Lessons in a Box. This method works best when children can follow instructions and build confidence through fun, critical thinking, and water-safety decisions.
For younger children, explore our Parent-Led Swim Skills for Ages 0–2.
Do I need to get in the water with my child?
Yes. These skills are designed to help you bond with your child while teaching real swimming techniques. Level 1 focuses on assisted skills, so a parent or trusted adult should be in the water.
How often should we go to the pool?
It's best to go to the pool 2–3 times a week while actively working through the lessons. You can also take your time and practice whenever you swim. Less frequent practice can mean slower progress.
Do I need a box for each child?
No. Swim Lessons in a Box is designed for families and can be used with multiple children. Only one box is needed per family.
What skills will my child learn?
There are 16 swimming skills across two levels. Children learn foundations used by USA Swimming, including bubble blowing for breath control, streamline, proper kicking, and basic freestyle. Water-safety skills are included throughout.
How is this different from traditional swim lessons?
Swim Lessons in a Box was designed for families navigating busy schedules, water anxiety, limited access, slow progress, or disabilities. The lesson format can be adapted to each family's needs while keeping practice fun and low-pressure.
Is this an online course?
No. Short video tutorials support a hands-on learning system with waterproof flashcards, laminated lesson plans, toys, and activities you use with your child at the pool.
Why does Swim Lessons in a Box cost $199?
The box costs less than many group-lesson programs for two levels and can be used with multiple children. It includes waterproof flashcards, video tutorials, two levels of lessons, parent guidance, pool tools and toys, Facebook community support, and a 60-day money-back guarantee.
Will you spam me if I join the email list?
Never. You'll receive thoughtful swim guidance, product news, and launch updates designed to lower stress—not raise it.
