Visibility Swimsuits for Kids: My Honest Cooper’s AquaArmor Review

Written by Emily Davis, Founder of Swimming with Confidence
This is my honest opinion of Cooper’s AquaArmor.
While I appreciate the mission of visibility swimsuits, I believe more than safe swimmers are those with swimming skills. However, I really love bright swimsuits for outdoor activities like swimming in rivers, lakes, or oceans. The visibility in murky waters improves significantly.
I was introduced to Cooper’s AquaArmor earlier this year. I received a swimsuit for my toddler from this company, and to my surprise, both and my toddler I loved it! The sizing does run big, and big swimsuits can create drag, making swimming more difficult, but it was seriously the best decision for the river play we had!
Thanks to the bright color, my toddler was easy to spot as he explored and didn’t stay right by my side. While drowning wasn’t a worry because the river was shallow, managing four kids at the river is challenging. Even my 6-year-old wanted a matching swimsuit after seeing his sibling's!

Reasons to purchase this swimsuit:
1) Great for easy spotting.
2) Provides great sun protection with the rash guard.
3) Perfect for river play and outdoor adventures.
4) No weird mesh in the boys' swim trunks!

About Cooper's AquaArmor
Born from research. Built for love. Designed for safety.
Britton and David, proud founders of Cooper's AquaArmor, set out as parents and partners, sharing a journey filled with online research, late-night talks, and a deep desire to give their son the best possible start.
When they found out they were expecting their first child, Cooper Glenn, they dove into everything—from car seats to cribs—but as summer approached, water safety became a surprising focus. Britton, who had never felt completely at home in the water, wanted Cooper to grow up confident and comfortable in the water, just like his dad. That meant facing her own fears, learning to swim at 33, and finding the right gear to keep him safe.
That’s when they discovered the eye-opening Color in Water research by ALIVE Solutions—a study that changed how they saw children’s swimwear forever. The majority of the boys’ swimsuits they found were low-contrast blues and dull designs, which easily blended into the shimmer of the pool water. They joked that they could do better—not just for their son, but for families everywhere.
Cooper’s Aqua Armor was born out of that moment. The mission? To blend bold, high-contrast design with purposeful function, helping your little ones stay stylish and visible—whether they’re splashing in the pool or playing at the beach.
They strive to bring this mission to life through a unique blend of personal passion and professional expertise. Britton is a Strategic Transformation Manager, constantly solving complex challenges and making systems work smarter. David spent 14 years as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and now serves as a Civilian Data Analyst Manager for the Coast Guard—so when it comes to safety, structure, and seeing what others might miss, it’s second nature.
They are here to fill a gap they saw firsthand—because safety and style should never be separate. And because children deserve a future filled with joy, adventure, and a whole lot of water.

Notes: The site is a little clunky, but trust me! The swimsuit was excellent quality! Also, they do size big, so maybe size down.
